Following a night of fitful sleep, I got some happy news in my inbox this morning – we’ve been shortlisted in three categories for the 2013 US Search Awards! According to the email we received, “The number and standard of entries has been extremely high, so well done on making the shortlist, which is an amazing achievement in itself.” Go WordStream!
We were shortlisted in three categories:
- Best PPC Management Software – PPC Advisor, our PPC management platform, was one of five platforms shortlisted in the Best PPC Management Software category. Fellow finalists in this category including Acquisio, IgnitionOne, Kenshoo Search and Marin Software. We think this is impressive company – we’re pretty excited to be shortlisted with these older, more established platforms.
- Innovation – WordStream’s PPC Success Report is one of eight products shortlisted in the Innovation category. The PPC Success Report is our recently released tool for PPC reporting and analysis. (Check out the infographic-quality AdWords reports.) Other finalists in the Innovation category include Linkdex Networks, Virante Inc., Catalyst Canada, Fruition, GetCityDealz.com, Kenshoo, and Simplexo.
- Best Blog – The WordStream Blog (you’re looking at it) joins seven other nominees, including industry stalwarts like Search Engine Land. Other Best Blog finalists include our friends at PPC Hero, the Distilled Blog, Elite Insider, and OrangeSoda.
This is awesome news across the board, but I must admit I’m especially pleased about this last category – when I started at WordStream over four years ago, the blog barely existed. Now it’s a huge traffic driver for us, and posts on the blog have been referenced in national and industry publications such as the New York Times, the Wall Street Journal, Wired, USA Today, Fox News, Search Engine Land, Forbes, Inc, Business Insider, SEOmoz and lots more. I’m pretty proud of this guy.
The US Search Awards, delivered in association with Pubcon Las Vegas with sponsors including SEMPO and Majestic SEO, will honor exceptional efforts in search marketing and outstanding thought leadership in 22 categories as well as a best-of-the-best Grand Prix. Other US Search Awards categories include Best Local Campaign, Best Low Budget Campaign, Best Mobile Campaign, Best SEO Campaign, Best Use of PR in a Search Campaign, Best Use of Social Media in a Search Campaign, Best In-House Team, Best Agency, and Search Personality of the Year. The US Search Awards 2013 awards ceremony will take place on Wednesday, October 23, at Treasure Island Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Congrats to all the shortlistees, and see you in Vegas!
