I'm sort of surprised that I've never linked to Chris Brogan's blog in a Friday roundup before, since I'm a regular reader. Wired this week published a fascinating profile piece on a company called Demand Media: "The Answer Factory: Fast, Disposable, and Profitable as Hell." The company's approach to content generation almost sounds like science fiction or satire, but it's real, and it works. Every marketing 101 class worth its salt will have you walking out the door uttering two time-honored maxims where messaging and copy is concerned: Benefits, Not Features. Unique Value Proposition.
