Nice to read an article at WordStream on the "other side" of the Internet marketing coin: conversions.
"On the flipside, what are some of the mistakes marketers make with poorly optimized landing pages that are lead generation killers?"
Forgetting to measure. It's amazing to find websites that don't measure conversions. It's almost as if measurement is only for the accounting department. We measure the height of our kids as they grow and we know the free throw stats of our favorite NBA players. Why the some marketing executives don't know their website conversion rates is beyond me.
"Ion Interactive is heading an innovative approach to landing page design: incorporating social networking on landing pages through social widgets. Can you explain how turning a landing page into a peer-to-peer networking platform would benefit a company?"
I was very interested in the peer-to-peer landing page engagement concept. I have seen the implementation of social media widgets on guest blogs more and more, but not so much on B:C or B:B landing pages. Would you mind showing us a few examples in a future guest blog?
