John, nice article. We've also found that the automatic alerts that Intelligence gives us aren't terribly actionable. I do think this kind of automated discovery of actionable changes can be made to work with a little more smarts, though. We've been experimenting with this kind of thing at Trendly.com - we recently did a blog post comparing it with Intelligence. If you've tried Trendly, I'd be very interested to hear your own thoughts on the difference between the two.
