Boston, MA July 8, 2015 - WordStream, Inc., a provider of search engine marketing software and services, was named one of Boston’s best places to work in the Boston Business Journal’s annual Best Places to Work awards.
Employees praised WordStream’s excellent benefits coverage, unlimited vacation time, flexible hours, and office perks – such as free cold-brew coffee, snacks, fresh fruit, a tapped keg, LeanBox vending machine, foosball and ping-pong tables, and frequent company outings – among the many reasons they love working at WordStream.
“We’re thrilled to have been named one of the best places to work in Boston,” said Ralph Folz, CEO of WordStream, Inc. “We’re a technology company, but our people are our most valuable asset. I’m proud to work with passionate, dedicated people who genuinely love coming to work every day, and I’m delighted that our commitment to making WordStream a fantastic place to work has been acknowledged.”
WordStream’s commitment to taking care of its employees and providing them with a rewarding, enjoyable place to work earned the company the award of 5th Best Place to Work in Boston in its category. With almost 150 employees, WordStream was competing in the medium-sized business category, alongside companies such as Baystate Financial, Intuit, and Virgin Pulse.
Winners were announced at a special event hosted by the Boston Business Journal at the Citi Performing Arts Center in Boston on June 18th, 2015. Several WordStream executives and staff members attended the event, and Folz personally accepted the prize on behalf of the company.
Entrants in the competition, now in its 13th year, were judged based on employee responses to questions focusing on a range of criteria, including management style, professional development opportunities, workplace atmosphere, and perks. Responses were evaluated in partnership with Quantum Workplace, a leading provider of employee engagement analysis tools.
