Recommended SEM Resources is an ongoing series here at WordStream where we plug some of our favorite sources of Web marketing wisdom. It's our version of the employee recommended movies section at Blockbuster, but for search marketing.
This month's Recommended SEM Resource is Manoj Jasra. Manoj is a Web Analytics Analyst and President of Jasra, Inc, a Web analytics and SEO firm in Calgary, Alberta, and the Senior Search Marketing Strategist at Shaw Communications. He's also a prolific blogger and frequent contributor to a number of SEM online publications.
Manoj's personal blog is Web Analytics World, which focuses on search marketing, technology and Web analytics insights. Many of Manoj's posts on Web Analytics World advocate how important it is to incorporate analytics into your marketing and website strategy and how you can use the stats from your websites to drive decisions that will directly impact your organization. His blog is one of the most read, most cited Web analytics blogs in the world, and a personal favorite in my Google Reader for anything related to analytics and SEO.
I recently spoke with Manoj about what readers can expect from Web Analytics World in the coming weeks and months. Here's what he had to say.
- "Readers will likely begin to see heavy coverage of mobile apps/analytics space on our blog this year, as this has become a new interest of ours."
- "I'll be attending Media Bistro in NY this coming week, so our readers can expect to find blog posts/tweets around that conference this week."
Also, if you're a blogger looking for guest posting opportunities, Web Analytics World offers some pretty sweet perks. Manoj tells me he receives press passes to industry conferences throughout the year, which they give to guest bloggers in exchange for coverage of the event.
In addition to his work at Web Analytics World, Manoj is also an active member of the search marketing industry news blogger circuit. You can read his guest articles on other Web publications, such as:
- Web Pro News
- Search Engine Guide
- Search Newz
- Silicon India
