WordStream is a rapidly-growing software company located in Boston’s Back Bay. Our mission is to bring the power of performance marketing to businesses of all sizes. Our goal is to provide small and medium-sized companies a platform to acquire customers using paid search and performance marketing.
As Staff Accountant you will be responsible for bringing excellence to how we bill, collect, and report on our customers. We use highly sophisticated and automated systems such as Zuora, and Salesforce.com to manage our customer base. We are looking for someone comfortable with technology and highly analytical who can follow procedures designed to work with thousands of customer accounts. More specifics:
Assist with the accurate billing and payment collection from Wordstream customers .
Ensure proper payment of AP invoices.
Reconcile bank accounts to the general ledger.
Assist the VP of Finance with month-end and year-end reporting.
Assist the VP of Finance with preparation of monthly reporting package to Board of Directors .
A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Business required.
Required a minimum of two years work experience in a similar position.
Expert level skills in Excel desirable with a very strong attention to detail.
Quickbooks and Saleforce experience a plus.
Must have an incredible attention to detail and be able to coordinate multiple tasks and requests.
Excellent problem solving skills are essential.
Ability to interact well with all organizational levels.
Able to work with minimal supervision.
