PageRank: What Is PageRank?
PageRank is a numeric value between 1 and 10 that Google assigns to a web page to indicate its relative importance. PageRank is determined by an algorithm that analyzes links and is one of the factors that determines search engine ranking. Recently, there has been some speculation as to whether Google is contemplating a version of its PageRank algorithm that works without links.
