Ralph J. Folz - Executive Chairman

Ralph Folz, WordStream CEORalph Folz joined WordStream's board in August 2009 and was elected the company's CEO by the Board of Directors in August 2010. As chief executive officer, Ralph was responsible for developing WordStream's product and business direction as well as playing a key role in business development and overseeing the company's day-to-day operations.

In January 2018, Howard Kogan became CEO and Ralph moved into the role of Executive Chairman, where his focus has increased on external relationships, partnerships, and growth by acquisition.



Ralph J. Folz previously served as Global Chief Operating Officer of Isobar, part of London-based Aegis PLC and one of the largest digital marketing agencies in the world with over 3,500 people in 40 different countries.

Folz also co-founded Boston-based Molecular, Inc., a digital marketing consulting firm that designs and builds Internet-based solutions to help companies increase revenues and decrease operating costs. In May 2005, Molecular was acquired by Isobar.

Folz was responsible for building Molecular into one of the most respected digital marketing consulting firms in the United States. Molecular is consistently ranked as a top U.S. firm by Forrester Research.

Folz has been named “one of the 10 most influential leaders in e-commerce” by the Massachusetts Electronic Commerce Association, and Molecular was recognized by Deloitte & Touche as the highest-ranking Internet professional services firm in the New England region. In 2004, he was named to the Boston Business Journal's list of “40 Under 40” and recognized as a Mass High Tech All-Star in the Internet category. He has served as President of MITX, the Massachusetts Innovation & Technology Exchange, and sits on the Executive Council of TechNet New England.


Folz holds a bachelor's degree in computer engineering from Syracuse University and a master's degree in software engineering from Boston University.
